OEM / ODM BUYER RESOURCE

Mattress materials,
explained for buyers.

Compare the role of foams, springs, separator layers and fabrics before confirming a sample. Specifications shown here are selection guidance; the approved model sheet and sample remain the production reference.

01 / COMFORT MATERIALS

Foam changes response,
pressure relief and cost.

Always compare density, hardness and thickness together. Density alone does not define how soft or firm a finished mattress will feel.

HIGH REBOUND

Fast-response comfort

Used in current roll-pack constructions to add resilient surface comfort. Confirm density, thickness and required finished feel.

Buyer confirms

HIGH DENSITY

Stable transition and support

Used to reinforce the comfort stack and broaden the available price range. Density and hardness should be recorded separately.

MEMORY FOAM

Slow-response pressure relief

A recognizable retail upgrade in selected models. Confirm density, colour, thickness, recovery feel and heat-management expectations.

NATURAL LATEX

Responsive premium comfort

Suitable for selected flat, removable and handmade programs. Material specification and construction route require project confirmation.

02 / SUPPORT & SEPARATION

Support is a system,
not a single component.

The spring unit, separator layers and surrounding foams must be evaluated as one construction.

POCKET SPRINGS

Independent response

Current roll-pack records use independent pocket springs with 1.8 mm or 2.0 mm wire depending on the model.

BALANCED HARD COTTON

Spring-unit separation

A stabilising layer placed around the spring unit. Current approved roll-pack specifications use 200G where recorded.

03 / SURFACE & BASE

The visible layer carries
the retail identity.

Fabric selection affects appearance, hand feel, quilting and brand positioning. Approve the actual swatch and finished sample.

05 / COMMON QUESTIONS

Material questions
buyers ask first.

Which mattress material determines firmness?

Firmness comes from the full construction rather than one layer. Foam hardness and thickness, spring specification, separator layers, quilting and cover tension should be approved together.

What do foam density numbers such as 25D or 35D mean?

They identify the recorded foam density specification. Density is not the same as firmness, so buyers should confirm both density and the required comfort feel during sampling.

What does GSM mean for mattress materials?

GSM means grams per square metre. It is commonly used for fabrics and fibre layers, but the final performance also depends on construction, thickness and finishing.

Can fabrics and quilting be customized for private label orders?

They can be discussed for OEM and private-label programs. Final fabric, colour, quilting pattern, label artwork, carton artwork and quantity must be confirmed before production.

Which materials work with roll-pack mattresses?

The current roll-pack range records high-rebound foam, high-density foam, memory foam, balanced hard cotton, pocket springs, knitted cover fabrics and breathable base fabric in different combinations.
